Developing a bioengineered heart tissue patch

About the project:

This project aims to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of a human pluripotent stem cell-derived bioengineered heart tissue patch (BHTP) for heart failure patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).

BHTP has the potential to delay or avert the need for heart transplantation in patients with heart failure.

We hope these studies will pave the way for future clinical trials and have the potential to radically transform patient outcomes and improve the quality of life of children and adults living with CHD.
